Kids Rides

Due to lack of personnel to look after this area there is nothing currently in line specifically for kids.  However, many competent young children take part in the Core Loop race at the Summer Series.  If you have an interest in organising this area of the club email rebekah@singletrack.org.nz

PAST RIDES

November 2011  – Saturday 5th November from Governors Bay to Living Springs and back, will start riding at about 1.30pm and will be riding for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on how many laps of Living Springs Lower Loop we do.

Will assemble at car parks on Jetty road opposite Governors Bay Hotel from there we will ride around the Foreshore track to Allendale reserve then up into the start of Living Springs Loop track in the Farm Park, will ride one complete loop including new tracks currently being built ( may do 2nd lap depending on amount of enthusiasm shown ) then return to Governors Bay via Foreshore track again.

This is a social ride for all existing, new and potential CSC members & people who haven’t ridden Living Springs before “ it is not a race “. An intermediate level of riding ability & fitness would be recommended for this ride. Please also bring some local currency with you as there will most likely be a need to Re-hydrate and tell stories at the hotel after the ride.

January 2011 – Sunday 9 January is a return trip to Living Springs. Meet at the bottom of Old Dyers Pass Track (layby 1.3km up from Sign of Takahe) at 8am. Riding up ODP Track, down Wooff’s Track to Governors Bay, around the Foreshore Track to Allendale, 1-2 laps of Living Springs, then return the same way. Expect 2.5-3 hrs riding which will get us back in time to watch most of the elite road nationals race.
